His golden rays touch the Earth and warm its surface
We all worship him and his splendorous heat
The curved smirk that shines radiance, that has us build
Temples to his name and form
His gaze on us burns our Skin,
Eyes, Head, and Heart yet we love him
Worshipping this golden god and bowing below our knees
We offer ourselves to this grandeurous display of grace and perfection
The Sun
Her gaze on the Earth so light, so flirtatious
She smiles only in amusement as we, the people
Praise her beauty, the dimple-like craters in her cheeks,
Her pale but luminescent skin un-warmed by the Sun's rays that she uses
The silvery eyes that pool and show no emotion
But hold us in contempt and draw our dreams to life
Her fingers, the moonbeams, touch us only so softly, fooling us
With her false love for our words and prayers to her
The Moon
